I was finally able to get out of the house and go for a hike this past Saturday evening. I count myself lucky because I have a hiking trail that’s a mere 10 minute drive from where I live.
For the second time in my life, I decided to go hiking in the evening.
Again, I was pleasantly surprised to discover that my energy levels seem to be higher in the afternoons and evenings than they are in the mornings. I think it’s because on morning hikes, the further you progress, the hotter it becomes.
But on evening hikes, the further you progress, the cooler it becomes. It did feel weird when I was the very last person leaving the hiking trail at 6 pm, and the gates were already closed. That was a first.
